PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
– to manage the company's purchasing activities
REPRESENTATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Represents the firm in relationships with suppliers, clients, and domestic/foreign organizations with whom it comes into contact in the course of business.
DUTIES:
- identifies supply needs in accordance with quantity lists prepared by the Chief Engineer and/or Site Supervisors
- negotiates purchase prices with suppliers, concludes contracts with them
- takes necessary measures to ensure all orders are executed within budget and on time
- recommends product selection
- prepares and analyzes requests for quotations
- supervises the execution of contracts
- develops policies, procedures, and working tools needed for managing the company's purchasing activities
- prepares reports on expenses at the company level and for each business direction
- proposes improvements to procedures and working tools to reduce costs
- organizes and participates in tenders
- analyzes the market and delivery system to evaluate the current and future validity of products
- establishes contacts and relationships with target suppliers and continuously monitors the emergence of new offers
- prepares and monitors import supply orders
- follows up on deliveries and ensures documentation for customs formalities
- Constantly updates (monthly, weekly) the company's database regarding clients/suppliers/service providers/qualified specialists
- Updates (monthly, weekly) the prices of goods/materials according to the quantity lists prepared by the Chief Engineer and/or Site Supervisors, including previously contracted goods/materials and services.
